"FASCINATION is most likely Jane's biggest-selling lp for KAPP RECORDS. The title song has sold over 4 million copies since 1957. The cd (made in Japan) is flawless. The stereo seperation is crystal clear. The jacket is a small reproduction of the original album including the back with the liner notes. (Canada got a different piture on front). Jane does a cover of Johnny Mathis' "It's Not For Me To Say" and does a super job. The collection of songs is pure '50's pop music and this is what Jane does to perfection. Jane's earlier classical training is evident. The collection includes 2 songs by Jane's often backup group, The Troubadors..."Intermezzo" and "Midnight In Athens." It is difficult to pick a favorite song from this collection that Jane does. I think most will love the fluid way Jane delivers a song. We need more KAPP material released by this fine singer."
