Synopsis

Album Description
2008 French language album from the famed actress/singer best known for her hit duet with Serge Gainsbourg, 'Je t'aime (Moi Non Plus)', in 1969. Enfants D'Hiver has s similar chilled out, ethereal sound to her 2006 album Fictions yet stands on it's own legs and proves to be a welcome release from the darling diva. In 1992, Birkin gave up singing, saying she could not imagine working with anyone other than Gainsbourg who had passed away the year before. Instead she focused on her family and her humanitarian work. She returned to music in 1998 and has since recorded a number of albums including Arabesque (interpretations of Serges' songs), Rendez-vous (an album of duets with artist including Feist, Bryan Ferry and Beth Gibbons) and Fictions (songs written by artists including Magic Numbers, Neil Young, Rufus Wainwright and more). Following a world tour and acting in a number of films, EMI.

CD Reviews

Una artista que mejora con el tiempo
Fernando F. Cardenas Pena | 01/07/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Sin duda alguna, la evolucion de Jane Birkin no se detiene... Situacion propia de las grandes artistas que en cada entrega, revelan una nueva faceta de su personalidad musical. Para los amantes de la Birkin, va un nuevo disco que si bien no es tan excepcional como Redez-Vous (opinion muy personal), si aporta elementos novedosos."
