"I'm a big fan of Jan's music (see the other reviews) but this is his worst ever. It was an attempt to write and record an Arabic-disco album in one day. The bet was won, but fans were lost... Still there is one good song, the relaxed "Blue in the shadow""

"Again, it is important to realize what a unique and music-over-money type of musician Jan is. It is true that this CD was composed in one day, and look at the timeline. Jan successfully satirizes disco in one rockin' punch of cosmic energy. If this effort was meant to be perfected, then time could have been taken in that direction. Here we have a show of Jan Akkerman's compositional and playing skills, as well as social commentary and solar-plexus punching humor. And all accomplished in 24 hours!?!"
