Synopsis

Album Details
Renowned the World Over for Its Distinctive Musical Style, Renaissance Has Become the Standard for Quality House with a DEEP, Twisted Yet Accessible Feel. As with the First Album in this Series, 'tsor Vol. 2' Demonstrates the Broad Depth of this Musical Genre, Whilst Keeping Accessibility Firmly in Mind. The Album Has Been Mixed by Marcus James, a Renaissance Resident for the Past Three Years. On the Subject of the Mix Marcus Says, "The Sound of Renaissance' is a Great Opportunity to Demonstrate Just How Broad Renaissance's Musical Scope Actually Is. It's a Real Challenge to Incorporate this Criteria Whilst Keeping Things Interesting. I Hope People Will have as Much Fun Listening to the Album as I Did Mixing It!"

CD Reviews

Nice Prog.

"If you like progressive house, this disc is the best Ive heard in a long, long time. This is better than any Global Underground that is currently out. It gets going very early and really never stops. Great tracks from Mara, Echomen, Gardner and Thomas, Behruz, Low End Speicialists, and the list goes on... There really arent any bad tracks on these two discs. All in all this deserves 10 stars. Thanks Reniassance and keep up the good work."
Nonstop mix that will scratch your electronic itch!

"I just opened up this CD and turned it on and have not been disappointed yet. That is pretty rare these days for me (anyone else?). The songs you will find here are in an electronic genre that I can't label. The album starts off subtly with a nice chilled tune from Schmoov, and slowly works it way up to full-on techno / hard house sound on CD1. I was happily surprised by a unique song by Echomen (Thru 2 You and yes, they do have a bit of an Echo & The Bunnymen influenced sound). It is a sort of industrial new wave house song, which has a very fresh feel. I do not know if this is because Nova Scotia mixed it, but it is VERY cool. The Dr. Kucho "Nosferatu" song definitely will remind you of Enigma, only with a techno bass line and beats. The CD then flies into a wave that any good club goer can appreciate. The last song has a definite 80's ring to it.
Yello, Kraftwerk come to mind. CD2 Is a mix of techno and hard house, which can keep any party going although not as diverse in the electronic genre which CD1 provides quite well. If you browsed to this page looking for something new, you should give this one a try!"
