Synopsis

Album Description
This song is meant to give the listener insight of what it must have felt like to aboard the fishing ship during the tragic accident. The song is based on "minor add9" chords to represent the missing four students, two teachers, and three crewmen. It begins subtle and unsuspecting, then transcends to an intense middle section. As the song progresses, the intensity grows, symbolizing the crashing of the two vessels, the chaos and confusion before coming to a climactic halt. The final section of the song includes subdued tension becoming very melancholy to symbolize the unfortunate fate of the Ehime Maru.

CD Reviews

Moving song by the "living legend" and my uke "sensei"

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I got the chance to meet Jake over here in California. After hanging out with Jake and friends I had the honor of playing with him and learning from him. He "rips" the uke in this extraordinary and totally moving song. The reason I am here about to buy this cd is because he played it for me in person. I was forever blessed by that feelingful performance, and bow down to him. It's all about his passion, respect, knowledge, creativeness, feeling, and love for music when it comes to Jake. If it were like that, I would go as far as say that he probably is in a class amongst Carlos Santana or even higher.
Cop this CD, add it to your collection. I guarantee you won't be sorry. His other CD's with Pure Heart, and Colon are hype as well! Much love and aloha to "Shim-Shima (who got the keys to my beamah)"!!!"
