"After listening to Jaco's wonderful work with Weather Report, how would he sound in a power trio? This is the answer: He lays down a solid bassline, only stretching out every now and again, and turns the show over to guitar ace Bireli Lagrene. The opener, "Teentown" is a treat. Lagrene starts us out with a little Eddie Van Halen, a little James Brown, a little Ritchie Blackmore, and then matches Jaco lick for lick in the main themes. It's a testament to the musicianship (not just virtuosity) of both these men that they could play together so well during such a short acquaintance. I won't abuse my platform here, but I will say that if amazon or other major retailers can't get this for you, it is available from a certain importer, and some certain distributors. Get busy with the search engine!"
Rare and excellent !!!

"These guys are really cookin' here and it seems like they played together for years. In fact they met in NYC only several months before that Italian tour.
Selectons on this CD like Fannie Mae, Black Market or Satin Doll will definitely please funs of jazz and jazz-rock. There is plenty of first rate guitar virtuosity as well, like on a very interesting version of Marley's I Shot the Sheriff (which made my day!) or two Jaco's compositions: Teen Town and Continuum. Definetely a guitarist's album!Bonus: it was recorded with real studio equipment (not a walkman, if u know what I mean)!"
The BEST 'TEEN TOWN' play EVER!!!

"many people say that jaco's late bootleg records are not worth it. however, they can hardly deny that this one outgrades any other jaco's original live album. you just need to listen one track 'i got the sheriff' to know how good this one is. bireli lagren and jaco play freely without any limitation. jaco's creativity seems infinite!!!! another trak 'teen town' is best 'teen town' performance out of bunch of them from other records. plus, 'continuum' is beautiful as always it was, 'satin doll' is enough to satisfy any jazz fan, 'black market' will make you feel energetic at any time!so, please don't lose chance to make your LIFE happier!!"
