Synopsis

Product Description
LOST SOUL is a package to draw in and collect together previously lost and loose elements from the career of british blue eyed soul singer/song writer Jackie Lomax. Jackie Lomax was the lead vocalist and bass player with The Undertakers, a stomping Merseybeat outfit of the mid 1960 s. At the end of 1965 Jackie joined an Anglo American line-up playing R&B called The Lost Souls, with a name change in 1966 to Lomax Alliance. Brian Epstein came to New York and offered to manage Jackie Lomax as a solo artist but ended up signing the band. Tracks were recorded in New York and London for a single and an album, produced by John Simon. Only the single got released in the UK, and a different single under a different name in the US. This package contains the post Undertakers/pre-Apple released but now rare singles, and previously unreleased album demos, all newly re-mastered, along with a bonus second disc with the White Lady LP , newly remastered from the CBS master tapes and a track by track commentary by Jackie Lomax and photos from the Lomax archive.
