"Jackie DeShannon is a legendary singer/songwriter and this stunning set of illuminating performances show the very soulful side of her great voice...editorial comments comparing Jackie to Dusty Springfield have never entered the mind of this long time fan from the beginning of both of these incredible singers careers...Dusty and Jackie each have a unique style and sound all their own and this silly thought would only be held by one that doesn't know much about either of these great legendary singers.
A few spins of this incomparable collection filled with very inspired legendary session players will make any real music lover wonder why this great work was not heard on the airwaves...any exposure at all would have produced a number of huge hits and the Jackie original "Your Baby Is A Lady" is a prime example and the raw & soulful "That's What I'm Here For" is another to play over and over in a collection full of amazing and richly varied vocals. Bravo to Jackie DeShannon for this tremendous collection filled with engrossing performances that sound as fresh and vital as when the original vinyl was released over thirty years ago...a timeless classic!"
