Trippy, strange

"Featuring their new guitarist, the legendary Scott Mitchel Putuskey (ex-manson guitarist for 'Portrait of an American Family', 'Smells Like Children) Jack Off Jill comes back after releasing thier debut CD to put out an EP, filled with metal and techno influences that make your head spin. Sorry but i dont like techo remixes too much so i discounted points becuase of that. 'American Made' is an awesome remix, and so is the first remix of 'my Cat.' For the $6 i spent on this CD, it was well worth it for some of the good points of the CD, and just to complete my collection of Jack Off Jill CDs."

"Jack Off Jill is the last band i would have thought of to put out a remix ep. When i first heard about it i was excited to hear what they could have done to the *amazing* original songs. Well with the exception of the "My Cat Meow Mix" the remixes are wonderful and totally compliment the originals instead of destroying them. People need to remember though these are just remixes and not a new direction for the band! Now i'm just waiting for the new cd "Clear Hearts Grey Flowers" hopefully it will be every bit as amazing as their other releases!"

"decidedly an interesting twist on their songs, but a fun one! at moments this cd almost seems danceable, not something you'd expect at all from jack off jill, but in tandem with such folks as switchblade symphony and lords of acid, it's almost expected. the remixing varies in level and extremity, which is actually what makes this cd so wonderful, you aren't immersed in just another take on the whole ordeal, but a number of different takes, pushing a variety into the techno driven world of remixing. if there is only one complant to make about this cd, i'd say it's the structure of the songs, putting two secret tracks onto it ended up being decidedly annoying, especially since my player doesnt have a fastforward button! but, it's worth the waiting in silence for the final track, a gorgeously remixed cut of Covetous Creatures that you want to put on repeat."
