"I FINALLY FOUND IT! I LOVE THIS CD ESPECIALLY THE SONG *IT HURTS ME*! I'VE BEEN TRYING TO SEE IF MUSIC STORES AND RADIO STATIONS HAVE IT, BUT THEY DON'T AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT THEY SAY. IF THEY HAVE CUTS FROM WAY BACK ESPECIALLY FROM JAMES BROWN AND THE SOUL CHILDREN, THEN I KNOW THEY SHOULD HAVE JACCI MCGHEE *IT HURTS ME*. BOY, WHAT WOULD I GIVE TO HEAR THIS SONG RIGHT NOW! YALL, I TELL U I AM GOING THROUGH SOME THINGS WITH MY MAN. RIGHT NOW I AM REALLY RELATING TO HER AND MY GIRL MARY J. BLIGE! THAT'S WHY I VOTED MY GIRL JACCI FIVE STARS FOR THIS CD ALTHOUGH SHE IS NOT SINGING ANYMORE AND MOST PEOPLE HAVE FORGOTTEN ABOUT HER EXCEPT ME. MUCH LOVE JACCI"

"Jacci McGhee was a funky soul sista who was slept on. Most known for the song with Keith Sweat "Make It Last Forever" few people knew/remember that she sang guest vocals for Salt-N-Peppa, or went on to take the place of fellow funkstress Sandra St. Victor in The Family Stand. Her voice, I belive, fell over the ears of the wrong people. Even with the right ones. One of my favorite tracks on this is Good Old Fashioned Love where she states how she feels, why she feels that why and how she can feel better. Aint nothin better than that sometimes."

"The reason I gave it five stars is just for "It Hurts Me" featuring Keith Sweat which I haven't heard in a long time. The question in my mind is whatever happen to Jacci McGhee?"

"I first heard Jacci sing with Keith Sweat in "Make It Last Forever". I decided to do a search on Amazon and I found this CD. I bought it and I sure am glad I did. This is a wonderful CD and it just makes me feel warm and peaceful to hear her sing. I don't understand why this CD didn't blow up and sell a billion copies. I was pleasantly surprised to see her show up on stage with Keith in a concert in Nashville (TN). She is also featured in Keith's concert DVD, "Sweat Hotel Live" which was recorded in Atlanta some time in early 2007. If you love Jacci, you'll want to buy this DVD just to see Jacci perform. And her performance is a truly "live" performance - no Ashley Simpson performance here. Music fans today want a studio performance when they go to a concert. Not me - if Jacci misses a note or skips a beat, that's keeping it real, folks. If you buy Keith's DVD, in addition to Jacci's performance, you'll also get to see and hear the beautiful and EXTREMELY talented Athena Cage (who also wrote some of his songs). Keith introduced us to some wonderful women who have incredible voices. Jacci McGhee is one of them."

"Jacci McGhee started off as a background singer for Mr. Whine Man: Keith Sweat. She sang lead vocals on his first album. Now, on her only eponymous album, she had all the right ingredients to make this album a smash. So what was the problem? To me, it seems like most of these record labels wanna push these hateful, untalented bitches to the forefront while having people like Jacci sit in the background collecting dust. Jacci McGhee had soul, r-n-b, jazz, hip hop and pop intermingling throughout. "Something On My Mind", the opener showcased her vocals as funky and upbeat, while the Keith Sweat & Bobby Wooten penned composition: "It Hurts Me" showcases her as a soul stirrer. The Hurby "Luv Bug" composition "Skeeza" showed off her hip hop side. Sexy and funky! "Good Ole Fashion Love" is a hot track. "The Other Woman" which featured backing vocals from Alyson Williams and Regina Belle is pure heaven. "Denied" is one of my faves with Lisa Stevens chanting Denied, Denied, Denied! "The Closer I Get To U" is a fresh version with her background vocal colleague John James showing off his flexible tenor. "It's Been Too Long" is hot!
All in all, this girl can sing! What is up with these labels not wanting to promote a girl who can sing? I Betcha if she wore a thong and a pair of pasties, they'll promote that bitch faster than a diseased ridden chicken.
MCA did Jacci no damn justice. They did not push this album hard enough. I wonder why many of these artists end up making up their own record labels? Well, get this album. U won't be sorry!"
