A pleasant surprise...for the price!

"This a good quality recording of the complete set of Bach's motets. The Scholars Baroque Ensemble does a wonderful job with small forces of fewer than 10, often with one singer per part. A real showcase for the singers' virtuosity. The German diction is quite good, and the interpretations are lively, although some of the ritards at cadences are a bit much. Overall, a real find."
