Synopsis

Album Description
Subtitled - The 1951-54 J.O.B. Sessions. Born in Mississippi in 1929, J.B. Lenoir learned to play the guitar at a very young age. Influenced by bluesmen like Blind Lemon Jefferson, Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup, Lightning Hopkins & his friend Big Bill Broonzy, one of his first hits was the song 'The Mojo', recorded in 1953 for the then active label JOB. This marked the beginning of a long relationship between Lenoir & JOB, for whom he released many singles. Unfortunately, in 1967 Lenoir died in a tragic car accident. He was only 38 years old. 18 tracks packaged in heavy cardboard digipak with a brief history. Universe. 2003.
