Synopsis

Product Description
Webster's definition of 'ivory tower' is: a figurative place of mental withdrawal from reality. The phrase is used as a symbol of escapism.
Independent recording artists: Ivory Tower Project is a new breed of 'old school' rockers. Ivory Tower Project has a BIG sound: it is music for those who love Classic Pop/Rock inspired by the great artists of 70's and 80's.
RED HOT has received international acceptance with rave reviews and airplay on over 400 radio stations in 28 countries.
RED HOT contains 10 Tracks that will bring you back to a time when the marriage of melody and lyric was significant to a song. A time when Guitar Rock was king and Punk was not as manufactured as it is now. A great CD to bring along for a road trip.

Tony Novarro: Guitars, back vocals

Studio Musicians:
Ivan Elias: Bass (formerly with Patty Smyth & Scandal)

CD Reviews

Great AOR-Stuff

"Thanks to melodic.net, where I read the review about this great piece of music!

This CD is like a little timemachine which takes you back on a journey to the Eighties.

The first four songs are just pure AOR heaven, brilliant stuff. The rest doesn't hold the same fantastic level, but still good stuff, all in all a big recommendation!

I hope to hear more from the band in the future!

BUY!"
So, where does one find good music these days?

"The answer to that is to skip what record labels are pushing and to look online for artists that are defying the norm and putting out music to suit the tastes of the general population by self recording their music. Ivory Tower Project's 'Red Hot' is just the kind of music that suits my tastes, having grown up in the era of rock and roll. This CD blends the best of classic rock and roll from the late 70's to the early 80's. The lyrics of 'My Name' are haunting and Mark Regula does an excellent job of singing with much emotion to bring out the best in this song and many others on the CD. He is able to quickly raise and lower the pitch of his voice smoothly, showing what a talented singer he truly is. Regula turns his voice sultry and pulls off the steamy lyrics to the song 'Burning' with finesse. Johnny Jace and Mark Regula's ability to write catchy lyrics are well represented in the first three songs on the CD. Mark Regula's ability to write lyrics on his own is well shown in the fourth song, as is his ability to compose great music to well written lyrics. The first four songs in 'Red Hot' are a good example of this and blew me away, making them my favorite ones on the CD. That is a matter of personal taste though and the other lyricists, musicians and singers in 'Red Hot' also keep you interested. It is hard to like every song on a CD, but Tony Novarro's outstanding guitar playing makes sure you stay interested in the music throughout most of the CD and gives it a sound that many would call melodic rock."
