Synopsis

Product Description
L-O-V-E by Cuban superstar Issac Delgado recreates twelve sultry and sexy Spanish recordings originally sung by crooner Nat King Cole. He does so with the help of a number of outstanding musicians including a special contribution by Nat King Cole's brother, Freddy Cole. This is the first time that Freddy Cole has participated in a tribute album to his brother.

Eight of the twelve songs on L-O-V-E can be found on Nat King Cole's three Latin albums and the remaining four are Cole classics that Delgado reinterprets in Spanish by infusing his own personal style and Latin Jazz elements into each one. A charismatic musician often referred to as the Frank Sinatra of salsa, Delgado transforms these 20th century classics into 21st century masterpieces while staying true and authentic to his Cuban roots.

L-O-V-E rediscovers some of the greatest songs ever written in any language and appeals to a wide variety of audiences, crossing over languages, cultures, radio formats and generations. Along with seeding taste-makers who are sure to embrace its modern nostalgia and ultra-clean acoustic sound, there will be extensive lifestyle marketing outreach to retailers, internet outlets, restaurants, salons and spas.

CD Reviews

Excellent L O V E
Lewis J. Helvey | Union City, GA | 06/28/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This CD is excellent--never heard Freddy Cole sound better and Issac Delgado is super fantastic, smooth, talented and sexy. The musicians are to die for. John DiMartino on the piano is in his space doing his thing."
