The Beginning Of What Would Have Been

"The Isley Brothers makes a very strong comeback on "Between The Sheets" after putting out rather lackluster albums in the early 80's. Sadly, this album is the swan song to the 3+3 run of albums by the Isley's with the group splitting into due to creative differences. "Choosey Lover" puts you in the mind of previous love ballads from the 70's, while the title track brings the Isley's into a different, yet Isley Brothers trademark sound. Had these guys not split, there might have been another solid 4 or 5 more albums by this group."
