"?I am the kind of person who usually does not like "live" recordings. I generally prefer studio

recordings. However, I really like "Au Moment D'être A Vous." In fact, I liked it so much that I

did a follow-up and ordered another disk "Scènes d'amour." It is unusual for a person who is not

a Francophone to become exposed to Francophone popular music. Bear in mind that I liked

Francoise Hardy when I was in college, so it was not a big change for me to latch on to the music

of Isabelle Boulay.

Montreal has always had a special place in my heart, and the fact that Isabelle Boulay is from

Quebec province has meaning to me. It is also really great to have the Montréal Symphony

providing back-up music.

My favorite tracks on the disk are the title song, Au Moment D'être A Vous, Le Retour de Don

Quichotte, C'etait L'hiver, and Non Je Regrette Rien. Most of the music is slow, romantic music

meant to be shared with your significant other in your favorite manner, or enjoyed with a slow

dance. Yes, you can dance Argentine tango to most of this music. I was interested to note that

some of the tracks on this disk are also replicated on the other CD I purchased, "Scènes

d'amour." Those selections are "Le Retour de Don Quichotte" (in the second CD is was sung as

a duet with Michel Rivard), and "C'etait L'hiver" - the version on "Scènes d'amour" is a bit

longer.

Yes, I like this music. I am pleased to report that I recently purchased Isabelle Boulay's most

recent 2004 release "Tout un Jour." I like Isabelle Boulay better than Céline Dion."
Every song is a classic master piece

"I am really in love with French Canadian singers, from very popular Celine Dion, to more sophisticate Lara Fabian, and Isabelle Boulay really push the popular music to a whole higher class!

This concert was performed with Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and Isabelle Boulay was in deed part of the symphony. The whole CD is so good, I can't even tell which song is my favorite. (most CDs have one or two, if more than that, you got a master piece...)

If you have any appreciation of classical music, you will likely LOVE this one!

"Isabelle Boulay, dans cet album nous fait revivre son spectacle à l'Olympia de Paris où elle a su interpréter ses chansons comme elle le dit elle-même - habillées d'une robe du soir -.
De plus, elle a fait revivre certaines des plus belles chansons du patrimoine Français.
Piaf a une descendante."
