Isaac Hayes is one the greatest soul artists, and this album is a testament to that fact. Every song has a heavy groove. It is heavy, dark, romantic, sexy, and haunting music. The album has the feel of a smoky, late night recording session. The arrangements and musicianship are absolutely amazing. Isaac is a true musical genius. Not to mention, this is an encyclopedia of samples. Listen to "The Look of Love" and "Ike's Mood" and you'll understand what I'm saying. No record made within the last 20 years can touch this gem. Very few soul artists can touch Isaac's work from the early 70's. A must for anyone that loves good music."
