Synopsis

Album Description
There has got to be something in the water. That's the only way to explain the high levels of consistently excellent, sludgy bands to come oozing out of Albany, NY. Born from the ashes of the critically acclaimed Greatdayforup, Ironweed is a veritable supergroup of local veterans. With the demise of GDFU, the core group of Mike Vitali, Brendan Slater, and Jim Feck began the arduous task of putting a band back together. Due to the concurrent demise of Albany favorite Held Under, the boys were able to add Jeff Andrews'exceptional vocal chords. The considerable skills and second guitar of Ryan Rapp (Endicott) filled out the Ironweed sound. Since 2007, Ironweed has earned nationwide recognition on the metal/stoner rock circuit, tearing up stages both big and small. Their anticipated Small Stone debut shows a band at the peak of its game.
