"I first heard of Iron Savior when I bought a copy of A Tribute to Judas Priest "Delivering the Goods" where they did an excellent cover of Desert Plains. I like tribute CDs mostly because it exposes me to bands that I otherwise would have never been exposed to. Anyway, as I started searching for other Iron Savior CD I've noticed they have done four different covers of Judas Priest songs (which is more than any other band has done that I know of) and they are all done extremely well. I believe this is their fourth CD. I purchased Dark Assault first because it had a cover of Delivering the Goods that I didn't already have. As for the rest of the CD, I guess they most resemble Gamma Ray, with elements common to Helloween That is to be expected since Kai Hansen is behind them. I think I also hear a little Primal Fear in there as well. If you're looking for something new you're probably not going to find it here. It is what it is, and its power metal pure and simple. If you're a fan like I am and can't get enough power metal then that is great. I especially like Piet Sielk's voice. While his voice doesn't have the range that some singers do, it has almost a "metallic" ring to it that you can really hear when he is holding a note for a while that fits the music well with its sci-fi themes. If was definitely worth getting."
