Synopsis

Album Description
This is Intuition's debut album and presents a new synthpop act that is definitely proud of the "pop" aspect of the electronic underground. The superb vocalist sounds like a mix of Reagan of the popular modern synthpop band IRIS and Andy Bell of the classic act Erasure. His great vocal range and catchy melodics will stick in your mind. If mainstream commercial radio cared about independent bands and played Intuition, they'd be an instant hit with the poppy mood and lyrics set to a fun beat and pulsing electronic sound.

"It is difficult not to compare any contemporary synth outfit with the seminal synth bands of the 80's. Almost anything heard today forces instant comparisons with such greats as Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure (all Vince Clarke creations), New Order, and Pet Shop Boys. However, most later bands fall to the wayside due to uninspiring songwriting; proving it's far easier to imitate than originate. Intuition is the exception.

No doubt will you hear the similarities and fall prey to making simple conparisons. This is a synth-band after all. But with little time, you will note how the songs are not just sneaky copies of old-time favorites. Here are some true original compositions. These guys know how to make music, in their own way and for their own time.

If you're looking for something old and new, this will fill the bill. No matter how much you love the synthesizers, it always comes back to the songs themselves. Here they are!"
Didn't know what I was missing, now eternally grateful!

"I discovered this album and Intuition quite by accident, and what a fabulous surprise it has turned out to be! I am woefully ignorant of most of the synthpop scene, yet Further appealed to me instantly. Garrett Miles has a fantastic voice. Clear, smooth, with a golden quality that becomes more coppery when he is really feeling what he is singing. He impresses me with his range and consistency. But what Ken Porter creates with the music lends at least as much mood and emotion to the songs; it lays the foundation for why I can't get enough of this album. The way the music is paired with the vocals takes you right where the lyrics want you to go. Aside from times when I am thirsty for the music be a little more dominant, I love nearly all the songs, especially the second half of the album. There are small bits that I find to be truly brilliant. There is something new to enjoy, something more to feel, each time I listen."
Catchy Melodic Synthpop (Better than Erasure?)

"For those who don't know what synthpop is but want to find out, buy this album. For those who already know what synthpop is, hopefully you've already bought this awesome debut album. Intuition is an exceptional duo. Their music is at times similar to Savage Garden, but for the most part the songs seem to have an Erasure feel to them (I Say I Say I Say and Cowboy era). However, despite the fact that I am a huge Erasure fan, I have to admit the vocals for Intuition are superior to that of Erasure. The vocals are clean and pure sounding with an incredible range and none of that annoying vibrato. And unlike many other American synthpop acts, Intuition doesn't force a fake British accent. I've just recently started introducing my fiancee to synthpop music and it's taken her awhile to adjust to some of the bands. However, she immeadiately fell in love with this album, especially the songs Two, Danger, Just Love Me, and Fear of Hard Times. For those looking for positive uplifting music don't hesitate any longer. BUY THIS CD!!"
