Synopsis

Album Details
Four Years Since the Release of Bush's Last Record, Former Frontman Gavin Rossdale is Once Again Stepping Into the Limelight with his New Band, Institute. Their Debut Album 'distort Yourself' Will Be Released September 19th. While Rossdale Has Been Quoted as Saying that Bush Are "on Ice", He Has Avoided Any Temptation to Go Down the Solo Path and Stayed True to his Rock Roots. The Four Piece is Fronted by Rossdale and is Completed by Guitarist Chris Traynor (Bush, Helmet), Bassist Cache Tolman (Rival Schools) and Drummer Charlie Walker (Split Lip, Chamberlain). Musically, "Distort Yourself" Sees Rossdale Venturing Into New Territory and Institute Announce their Arrival with their First Single "Bullet-proof Skin", which features a Stop/Start Guitar Riff Behind Rossdale's Distinctive Gravel-coated Vocals. He Further Demonstrates his Ability to Break the Bush Writing Mould with Tracks Like 'boombox', and 'information Age' Shows Helmet's Influence, Through Producer Page Hamilton.

CD Reviews

UK Version WAY worth it
Kevin Lee | 10/21/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"After searching all of the stores in my small little city, and finding that none of them carried this special import with the two bonus songs, I was forced to order online. Yes this version is more expensive, but being a die-hard Bush fan such as myself I couldnt just settle for the original, I HAD TO HAVE THE EXTRA SONGS. And im glad I put forth the extra money and effort to purchase this Import, not only are the original 12 songs EXACTLY what I wanted from Rossdale, but the two bonus songs were even better! If you were thinking of purchasing the original, please read my review and re-consider. The Import is worth every last cent."
