El Puma's Labor of Love

"The beautiful guitar work at the beginning of Algo Contigo sets the tone for the entire CD...romantic and nostalgic boleros sung as only Los Panchos could sing them, updated with lush orchestral arrangements and the voice of El Puma, too! This latest tribute is a fine companion to volumes I and II, and features some especially good guitar passages (in Ansiedad, for example, there's some really deft fingering). From the serenity of Sabras Que Te Quiero to the bounciness of Espinita, each track showcases the great harmony of a great trio, and the new arrangements make the songs that much more beautiful. Because of El Puma's labor of love, the music of Los Panchos will enchant a whole new generation. Gracias!"
