Synopsis

Product Description
Escape to surreality with an eclectic blend of psychedelic melodies, gritty beats, and down to earth flowetry. Make Some Noise kicks off the album with a face-slapping beat, street-wise lyrics, and an informative insight from one of Rod Serling's narratives on a psychiatric patient. Religious Experience the first single, borrows from a 1960's documentary on children taking LSD and backs it up with a catchy baseline and DJ friendly beat, paving its way to the dance floor as an indie hit. Magnetic Attraction brings together Crane's vocals and an ARP2600 to mellow you out in this hypnotic, positive song. Best Served Chilled has so many diverse and genre-bending tracks that it would be criminal to try and classify them all-- but editors will try: electronica, hip-hop, chillout, psybient, europop, tech house, and even waltz. Imaginary Film Club's seemingly experimental techniques create a fresh and unique flavor; a spice rack of contemporary music that blurs the line between reality and imagination.

CD Reviews

Not just an album, it is an EXPERIENCE

"Most albums these days can be defined by pretty clear cut genres. It is not very often you find one that cannot be defined in this simple way. "Best Served Chilled" elicits so many different feelings and emotions from the listener that one genre label would not do it justice. Listening to this album is more than just listening to music, it is experiencing something new and exciting the whole way through.

What I like most about the album is that the tracks are all so unique, yet fit together so perfectly. You can feel one way during a track, and then that feeling can be completely flipped upside-down during the next track. And all the while these diverse tracks blend naturally into each other.

I highly recommend this album. It is unlike anything I've ever heard, and along with its originality it still manages to be extremely catchy - so catchy that I found myself hearing the beats in my head before going to sleep the other night. Some of my favorite tracks are the oddly inspirational "She'll Chop Off All Your Arms," the jazzy "Forever Remain Humble," and the lively "All These People."

These are just a few of the many great tracks on this album, all of which bring out powerful feelings in the listener. Whether that feeling is to get up and dance or to just sit and mellow out, there is something on this album for everybody. And when listened to in sequence, all the tracks make up one amazing album, and one amazing experience. So if you are able to get your hands on this album, just know that "Best Served Chilled" is definitely worth the listen."
