Synopsis

Album Description
Music has yet to be identified by the US government as a mind-altering drug. Illegal Substance intend to change all of that with their addictive, intoxicating beats with a heavy dose of?everything. Sampling music culture in the same way that DJ Shadow samples records, Illegal Substance step to the floor with an attitude that hasn?t been seen since Rick Rubin first waltzed into the studio with Run DMC and Aerosmith. In the process of jacking hip-hop, electronica, and rock, this Phoenix crew cuts their drug with youthful defiance and an altogether too rare sense of humor. Ladies and gentleman, Generation Jackass has been scored and the composers are Illegal Substance.

CD Reviews

One of my favourite bands
SolidBeatrix | 07/16/2006
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Hi everyone, I only want to say that Illegal Substance was very unknown for me, and I meet them a year ago, and I can't stop moving my body, dancing their songs, because they are amazing.

Ans electric music isn`t the best for me, but with this band is different.

ooh, one thing, the singer's voice remembers me to Fred Durst(Limp Bizkit).Only the voice."

"Not sure why this album didn't explode two years ago. It rocks. "Step to the Floor" is as good if not better than any of the other related genre out there.

You won't be disappointed."

(1 out of 5 stars)

"Check out the review below me. Can anybody say "blatant self promotion"? The lamest thing you can do is review your own album, especially when it's this bad. The second lamest thing you can do is make an album this horrible and then compare yourself to the Beastie Boys. I felt I needed to give this 1 star to balance out the rating of this terrible album and to make sure that whatever member of this band who wrote the 5 star review knows that he can't lie like that.

Since I doubt anybody will actually look at this page ever again (besides the dorks in this band), my actions and opinions will probably go unnoticed. But who cares, I'm not gonna let this album have 5 stars next to it forever.

I remember I read some promo bio about this band when this album first came out. To this day I still remember how retarded that bio was and I have been meaning to come here and write this for some time now. I feel better now! Check out www.moonshine.com and read their bio there. It's the most pathetic thing I've ever read."
