In 1969 Ike & Tina released two albums of Blues oriented tracks on Blue Thumb Records. These long-players, respectively entitled "The Hunter" and "Outta Season" are united on this 'We've Always Had The Blues' album. Ike accompanies Tina's wailing vocals with injections of his characteristically biting Blues guitar across a collection of tunes linked to such Blues legends as Jimmy Reed, Elmore James, Little Walter, Lowell Fulsom, B.B. King, and Albert King. The collection features 'Bold Soul Sister' and 'I've Been Loving You Too Long'.
