"The sound on this CD is clear and as good as digital. Paderewski's playing is marvelous. His approach to Chopin is neat, with no smudging of sound. He never abuses the sustain pedal; hearing him play I was reminded of Mozart's advice to pianists to be delicate and not overly sentimental. Paderewski, master as he was, follows this advice to a T. What results is a recording with personality and uniqueness, which few modern pianists have. Short introductory liner notes."
