Synopsis

Product Description
With influences ranging from Progressive Pop Rock to Barbershop Metal, Ideamen is an exhilarating tango of music and mayhem. Formed in Chicago of 2006, Tim Swanson (keys/vocals) & Dave Solar (vocals), united their respective bands, (Ducht Tape Mustache & Soulvasq) to create the Ideamen. Soon came the addition of Mark Vasquez(bass), Dan Figurell(guitar), and Phil Goodrich(drums), to form the mysterious blend of melody and chaos. With lots of new music written and an explosive set, the band then took to the stages through most of '07 & '08 touring the midwest & the east coast.

In 2007, Ideamen released their first spine-tingling EP, Progress , which sold copies throughout the UK, Germany, US, and Canada. The 5 song EP helped Ideamen tap into the experimental rock music scene with the help of such bands as Dog Fashion Disco, Tub Ring, & Screaming Mechanical Brain.

Ideamen have frequently The Double Door, Beat Kitchen, Elbo Room, Reggie's Rock House (Chicago), Peabody s, The Hi-Fi (Cleveland), The Annex, The Den (Madison), The Southgate House (Newport), Otto s (Baltimore), as well as venues in Minneapolis, Detroit, Indianapolis, St. Louis, and Philadelphia.
