CD Reviews

The live disc alone is great...

"it's the 2nd disc that's just OK. It could have been left off & I doubt anyone would have missed it. The 1st disc has some really great moments & of course you can't go wrong closing with Lucille. Still a very good buy for the $$."
A good collection of out of print songs...

"I for one, being an avid Deep Purple fan, enjoyed this 2 disc set. I believe for the Deep Purple fan looking for Gillan material this is a good place to start, since most of his studio stuff is out of print. As always the actual album is the only way to go, but for the REAL fan who can not find he REAL thing this is a close second. One suggestion would be concentrate more on his early work, i.e. the Mr. Universe era, and stay away from Clear Air Turbulence. This song/disc is not the mans best work."
One live disc and one studio disc

"Excellent 2 CD collection the first disc is live from a few differant concerts and the second disc is a compilation of the "Gillan" years with two songs from "Clear Air Turbulance" the sound quality is excellent and a worthwhile addition to your Gillan collection."
