"A smooth, sensual and harmonious singing group along the lines of Jodeci/Blackstreet/Silk, etc., IV Xample never quite reached the heights of those groups. Though they lacked a killer single like "Forever My Lady" or "No Diggity", the album as a whole is probably a more engaging listen from start to finish than albums by any of the aforementioned groups. The lushly orchestrated songs (made with little or no sampling), along with the "I admit I'm a fool" sentiment, make this album especially worthwhile for lovers, but it's great for any fan of contemporary 90s soul."

"I've been searching for this group for a long time now, and I'm happy I finally came across them here at Amazon.

I would have to agree that this group is very underrated, because I never knew who they were until I heard the first single off their album, "I'd Rather Be Alone" at a radio station four years ago. When I first heard it, I searched for it almost immediately on the internet. I didn't find it right away, perhaps it was due to the fact that they didn't gain much popularity during their time. "I'd Rather Be Alone" is actually the reason why I decided to find out if they had released any album, because I knew they had more to offer than the one song that introduced me to them.

And I was right! When I heard the rest of the songs in For Example, I felt happy because of the catchy melodies and how their voices matched the lyrics perfectly. Also, their songs have variety. They can sing slow love songs that make you feel relaxed (such as "I Will Never Leave") but at the same time, they can also deliver fast tunes that can make you dance (specifically the song "It's Alright"). Their tunes also help me remember things from years ago (although I'm not really that old) because their sound has the old kind of RnB feel to it, and I mean it in a positive way. They remind me of the time when the contents of RnB music are very low in unnecessary foul words, which is absolutely a plus!

Although I must say that I can't find any clear distinction between IV Xample and other groups of the same genre, it is not a reason for me not to notice that they do sound good. So if you're an RnB fan and if you like to feel the joy that old RnB music can bring, grab IV Xample's For Example!"
