Eclectic Masterpiece

"This incredibly cool band from Finland gives MuSick (a very cool label) their US debut with this disc, "Watusi 99". It is a masterpiece from start to finish. It's retro, yet modern ; powerful, yet smooth ; brutal, yet carresing- this album is that eclectic, yet so wonderful. With sounds as varied as a 60's fuzz-guitar album from DAVIE ALLAN & THE ARROWS ("Fuzz & Fight") to String-laced rhythms a la BARRY WHITE'S LOVE UNLIMITED ORCHESTRA ("Orson") to PEREZ PRADO'S "Latin Fiesta" ("Watusi 99") and even BOSSA NOVA "ritmos" that carry spirits of GILBERTO and JOBIM ("Bossa Coma"). This CD has it all and it could be the best instrumental album of modern times. A jewel!"
