"It is rare when someone with an acoustic guitar, harmonica and a 4 track can stir your emotions with enduring music, but Bell accomplishes that and much more here. His musicianship, deft phrasing and stirring vocals combine to make this one of the best albums to come out in the last year. But it is really his overriding sense of melody which makes this album special. From the gorgeous opener "Footholes" through the vivid imagery of "The Painter" to the rousing "Here Comes Sound", this album showcases the musical breadth of a prodigious talent. Bell's stirring vocals and haunting melodies will keep this album stuck in your CD player for weeks. I would highly suggest this album to any serious music listener."
