Tremendous music, so-so compilation

"Many of Howlin' Wolf's very best songs are here, but "Masters" is not as comprehensive, not as well compiled, and not nearly as attractively packaged as MCA/Chess' official Howlin' Wolf-collections "His Best", "His Best vol. 2", and "The Chess Box". And there are no rarities here either, or any other good reason why you should seek this one out instead of the MCA discs."
