Synopsis

Album Description
With their big hair, red lipstick, leopard-print spandex and feather boas, Housewives On Prozac are blasting through the rock 'n roll scene with a unique vision, a well honed vehicle and songs that make you want to get up and dance. Their message has a buoyant, in-your-face delivery that makes you want to stomp your feet while you stretch your wings. Musical divas Joy Rose, Kyle Ann Burtt, Donna Kelly, Susan Graham and Gillian Crane invite you to enthusiastically discover their distinctive brand of rock, disco, rap, and blues, with domestically intriguing themes weaving their way through original works like "Naughty Santa", "I Broke My Arm Christmas Shopping at The Mall", and "Beauty Hurts". Their sensibility reaches into the broader existential perspective "Who am I?", "How did I get here?" and "How can I make the greatest amount of noise in the shortest period of time?"

CD Reviews

Fun Pop with a great message
C. Yepsen | Saratoga Springs, NY United States | 12/08/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I've seen HOP in concert a couple times and they're really fun. Super stong Manhatan musicians fronted by big-haired, long legged Joy Rose who rules the stage. Great hooks, powerful message, and FUN. The live songs really capture what the band is about."
