Hot Peas 'N Butter was founded in 2000 by Daniel Lapidus and Francisco Cotto, both professional musicians based in New York City. Together, they meld their eclectic styles, incorporating elements of traditional Latin music, Afro-Caribbean rhythms, jazz, folk and pop-rock.
