This is the popular 2nd CD release by Robin Dauer following his hugely successful "SOUVENIR" - FRENCH RECITAL PIECES FOR FRENCH HORN. This CD will feature pieces that are specifically music from American composers that have had a great influence on French Horn performance. The selections included are, Serenade/P. Holmes - Elegy for Mippy I/L. Bernstein - Sonata (Mvts. Briskly, with abandon, Very slowly, Boldly)/A. Donato - Nocturne/G. Schuller - Sonata (Mvts. Lento-Allegro moderato-Lento, Largo espressivo, Allegro molto)/Q. Porter - Fantasy on the Hymn Tune "The Mouldering Vine"/W. Presser and Largo and Allegro/A. Frackenpohl. Not to be outdone in the Grammy eligibility field, this CD had two chances for that coveted Grammy. One for "Best solo CD without Orchestra" and one for "Best Classical Recording".
