"Hamburg, 1980. Ramon Brüssler and Jochen Fünders form a metal band and call it Holy Moses. The summer of 1981 - guitarist and songwriter Andy Classen and frontwoman Sabina Classen join the band. After three demos, the debut album of Holy Moses, "Queen of Siam", sees the light of day in 1986 and introduces a bunch of musicians who are destined to become one of the leading forces in the German thrash metal movement, releasing brutal full-length-granates like "Finished With the Dogs" (1987), "The New Machine of Liechtenstein" (1989), etc... until 1992, when the group split up. Andy started a successful career as a producer in his Stage One Studio, Sabina became the leader of her own band Temple Of The Absurd, hundreds of new formations appeared and gained fame, and little by little people started forgetting Holy Moses...
...until 2001 - the year of Their Thrash Majesties' return! The EP "Master of Disaster" was released as an appetizer for what is destined to become one of the strongest tharsh metal albums of the new millennium - "Disorder of the Order", the comeback full-length CD of the Hamburgers, that will surface in the end of June 2002. Yeah, they're back - the new Holy Moses, fronted by the good ol' roars of Sabina Classen! I bet you still won't recognize it's a lady screaming in the microphone! As for the band around her, these are the guitarists Joem Schubert and Franky Brotz, bass player Andreas Libera and drummer Julien Schmidt. Although Andy Classen has again produced and co-written the material for the songs, he's not on board as a musician.
Well, let's concentrate on "Disorder of the Order". Eleven audio-bombs (plus an introduction), full of brutal, pure thrash metal performed in the best old-school tradition. All in all, it's the same style as it used to be in the 80's - groovy roaring guitars, smashing rhythm section and, of course, the trademark vocal-outbursts of Sabina. Just lend an ear to tracks like "We Are at War", "Deeper", "1.000 Lies" - I'm sure all the older Holy Moses fans would be totally pleased to listen to these cuts, because the band has not just preserved their well-known music direction, but has poured it over with a crystal-clear sound, and added - as some kind of bonus tracks, perhaps - two surprises: "Verfolgungswahn" is roared by Sabina in her native language, and "Heaven vs. Hell" has been written together with the bass player of another German legendary act - Rod GonZalez of the punk veterans Die Ärzte.
Hail the reborn dogs! They're back for another merciless thrash attack!Author: [Nicki]"
