"This band emanated out of the piney woods of East Texas in the midst of the late 70's and early '80s. Their music is a good mix of mainstream, melodic rock such as Styx and Journey merged with the mysterious "fantasy rock" with Tolkienesque lyrics akin to Robert Plant's "Ramble On".This album captures the sound of the band in the early 80s with a sampling of their fantasy roots with a few great light pop songs. "Love is Forever" and is a great classically constructed power-pop song while "Intensity" captures the band displaying its power-chord prowess with introspective, yet uplifting lyrics. Combined with the silly mirth of "Midyears Eve" and "The Christmas Song" it reminds of an age long gone by- Where music was uplifting - and lyrics could touch on the medieval without being steeped in despair.Rumour is there is more to come from this band from their earlier fantasy rock years and their later surge into 80's rock. Check this album out as a good start to their incredible body of work."
