Synopsis

Album Description
Japanese Limited Edition paper sleeve of the 1965 album - the 40th Anniversary Edition. Whipped Cream & Other Delights transformed Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass into bonafide superstars, spending an incredible 8 straight weeks at the top of the charts. The album was not only memorable for its music (Alpert used only the best session players of the day, including Hal Blaine on drums and Leon Russell on piano), but for the iconic cover art which featured model Dolores Erickson strategically swathed in whipped cream. The original 12 tracks revolve around the theme of food and include such classics the triple Grammy-winning hit, 'A Taste of Honey' and the Dating Game theme 'Whipped Cream'. This special 40th Anniversary edition features two studio bonus tracks 'Rosemary' & 'Blueberry Park'. Seven Sea. 2005.

Very fun, very good CD. Great background music. I listen to it while I'm studying. (Fast paced enough to keep me awake!)

A taste of honey, the sound of the 60s
T. Bux | Barnesville, PA United States | 01/24/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"For anyone who considers themselves fans of pop music from the 60s and 70s, this album is a must have.

The album cover is classic. I remember growing up and seeing this album in my parents LP collection and, now knowing what it was, thought it be some sort of dirty music or something. Far from it.

This album contains many classic and popular instrumental songs that bring back the feeling of the 1960s.
Side one is much better containing the classics "Taste Of Honey", "Green Peppers" and "Bittersweet Samba". The side two songs are much less know, but there a few gems in there, especially the polkaish "Peanuts".

A great album, great songs, and even better cover!!"
