Robert Farley | 04/14/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"WHEN I FIRST HEARD HIS SONGS WE WERE IN HONOLULU ON VAC. NOW WE LIVE IN HAWAII AND PLAY HE'S MUSIC EVERYDAY TO OUR 5MT OLD SON. HE LOVES IT AND DANCES TO IT AND WHEN HE CRYS IT STOPS HIS CRYING. IT TRUELY MAKES YOU FEEL AT HOME IN THE ISLANDS.IF YOUR EVER IN HAWAII, SEE KAPONO IN CONCERT AT ALOHA TOWERS OR AT DUKES, YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I MEAN. INCREDIBLE SINGER!!!!"
This is The Optimum Island Sound .
Robert Farley | 08/03/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Henry Kapono has taken the best of the Caribbean sound and blended it with his Hawaiian roots to create an album that takes you to the "Island inside your Heart". Transcending his earlier work with Cecilio, Henry has created a sound that is mellifluous in nature but without the "pop" sound of his earlier partnership. This album shows the sophistication and easy Island sound that is his birthright. The disk is at it's best on Henry's original material but he does a nice job on the cover material as well. This is a disk that belongs in the collection of any self respecting Parrothead or of anyone who wants to be transported to their own little piece of paradise. Sail away on the Trinity!"

"Henry Kapono is one of the greatest hawaiian soft rock artists of our time. I consider this album his best. Put it on, sit back, close your eyes and you are transported to paradise. Some of the songs are old favorites like "Brown eyed girl", others like "White Rose" will soon be a favorite. Well worth the money even if you go to Hawaii to buy it."
