This is a wonderfully relaxing CD with music and nature sounds. It is great for stress relief or bedtime. According to the liner notes, "The Great Lakes Suite features the expansive and sea-like Lake Superior with its rolling waves, the rare Kirtland's Warbler that breeds only in Michigan, the beaver ponds of Georgian Bay's Baie Fine in Lake Huron, the lush marshes of Lake Erie, the Niagara River and Falls, and the route through Lake Ontario to the sea". The CD is produced by Dan and Gordon Gibson, with music by Hennie Bekker. A must have for those who enjoy nature and music!

This is not a Hennie Bekker CD, although I love his music to... this is Dan Gibson's Solitudes collection.

"If you feel the need to relax and have all your worries washed away, then put on this cd. The wonderfully calming, beautifully composed music will calm and soothe, and the wonderful sounds of the lakes and various wildlife, including many species of birds and frogs will make you feel that you are there. A wonderful album to daydream by. And track 10 will transport you to Niagara Falls. If you have never been there, you will feel as if you have, after listening to this. Truly awe-inspiring!"

"I have been using a number of "Solitudes" CDs for my work in gerontology and I can safely say this is one of the best. The relaxation combined with the familiarity of Strauss' work, simply makes the CD very effective for relaxation. I highly recommend it for eveyone regardless of age."
