CD ReviewsIf I were stuck on a desert island... K. Johnson-Butler | CA, USA | 04/05/2003 (5 out of 5 stars) "... I would be the luckiest person alive (on a desert island) if I had this album with me. I've had this album for a couple years now and it is, quite simply, one of the best albums I've ever heard (and I've heard quite a few). Hednoize manages to take elements of Depeche Mode, The Cure, and their own inherent talent to make an incredible album. On a 3-hour drive I made a bit ago, all I found myself needing was this album on repeat. Quite seriously, everything on this album is fantastic. Listen to the sample tracks, take a chance in buying the album, and you won't regret it." Searching for the End is one of a kind Jeff | California, America | 04/27/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "I've been a follower of Daniel Lenz since I found Psycksonik's "Unlearn" in a used CD sales rack. Hednoize carries his name well. If your looking for an industrial techno sound, you won't find it on this CD, but if your looking for a one of a kind sound, then Hednoize is for you. Lenz's specail style of music was well continued onto this CD. I had never heard of Free until "Searching for the End" came out, he's really good. I hope that these to artists continue to work together." An unexpected pleasure! David Parker | burlington, vermont United States | 02/27/2000 (5 out of 5 stars) "How does "a Depeche Mode for the new millenium" sound? Pretty pretentious, eh? Well, that's all I could think of as I listened to this excellent new band. I hear Depeche influences in a lot of stuff out there today, but this really sounds to me like what the Mode would sound like if they reinvented themselves for the year 2000. Lots of dark, atmospheric keyboard textures mixed with hard, but not metal, guitars - think Stabbing Westward without the abrasive edge (although a few songs do tread that ground). Check out the sound samples - the whole album is that good!"
