CD ReviewsExploitation. Justo Roteta | Los Angeles, California United States | 07/07/2004 (3 out of 5 stars) "Hector Lavoe died of AIDS in mid-1993. The fact that these recordings (which were either unmixed or not fully realized at the time of Hector's tragic death) were released so soon after his death most certainly reeks of exploitation and limitless greed. The songs themselves are quite good and Van Lester was a near-perfect choice for "Duetting" with Hector, however. Do I recommend this CD? Only to truly serious Hector Lavoe fans."
