Synopsis

Album Description
2008 sees the re-release of the yet metalcore classic Whatever It May Take completely remixed, remastered by the band's masterminds Maik Weichert and Aexander Dietz, wrapped up with all new artwork handled by Monument Studios (Job For A Cowboy, Chimaira, Aborted) and enriched with some nice bonus tracks. Heaven Shall Burn can easily be quoted as one of the most uncompromising German exports you've ever heard and aside from Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn can be considered as one of the most popular European acts of the genre. There are all Heaven Shall Burn trademarks: a good dose of Swedish-styled melodic-death, brutal breakdowns and heavy mosh parts. Whatever It May Take has now the sound and look the band and we at Lifeforce Records always have been looking for and it shouldn't be missed in every fan's collection.

"I was introduced to HSB summer 2002. I had no idea what I was missing. If you are a fan or metal, metal core, death metal and hardcore, you must purchase this album immediately. These five guys have taken the best aspects of every genre and melded them into a consise representation. It doesn't sound like seperate parts. It's almost as if it's a completely new sound. I've heard Whatever It May Take a million times, and there are still times that it sends chills down my arms. They're earlier stuff is definitely worth looking into as well. Visit the Lifeforce records website for MP3s and a live video and don't forget their self titled web site. I look forward to seeing them if they ever make it to the US."

"Heaven Shall Burn falls alongside bands such as Arkangel, Caliban (who've they done a split with), The Red Chord and others. This is primarily metal but there is a strong hardcore streak running through this giving it a highly aggressive edge coupled alongside thundering double bass and fast metal riffing. Fans of metal and hardcore will enjoy this making it an excellent crossover album. Check out the aforementioned bands as well for more fantastic music of this style"
