CD Reviews

Popstars bands are always [weak]!
Weather Warden | Auckland, NZ | 12/28/2002
(1 out of 5 stars)

"I hate Hear'Say. They have to be the WORST Popstars band yet (apart from Girls Aloud).
I watched the whole Popstars show religiously right from the beginning. I didn't think the final 5 people would even get down to the last 10 at all. I was surprised to say the least when Kym, Suzanne, Myleene, Danny and Noel were chosen.
Hear'Say's managers [copied] this song from one of the best girl bands around (who have sadly spilt up now) Girl Thing. "Pure & Smiple" was good when they did it, but I hated the song when Hear'Say released it. They totally murdered the song and I couldn't believe my ears when I heard it hit number one. It hit number one here in NZ too, and I found myself hating Hear'Say. I am mighty happy they have split up now.
"Pure & Simple" is poorly made, it was rushed to keep people interested in the band. None of them can sing, they only got to number one because of the Popstars TV show. Without the TV programme, they are nothing.
The rejects of UK Popstars, Liberty X are so much more talented then Hear'Say. They definitely picked the WRONG people for this talentless piece ...they call music in the UK.
Hear'Say had to have been my least favourite band in the whole universe. I'm glad they're gone. God only knows how long predecessor Girls Aloud will last...."
