Mark Newingham | Mid West | 08/10/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "From what I understand this release was made up of some tracks that were left over from when Ginger Baker played with the band and later live tracks without him, still very cool release. The tracks 1:ZONES, 2:DANGEROUS VISION, 3:RUNNING THROUGH THE BACK BRAIN, 4:THE ISLAND and 5:MOTORWAY CITY are the tracks with Ginger Baker (drums)and Keith Hale(keyboards). RUNNING THROUGH THE BACK BRAIN has Michael Moorcock on vocals as well. 6:UTOPIA, 7:SOCIAL ALLIANCE, 8:SONIC ATTACK, 9: DREAM WORKER, 10:BRAINSTORM have Martin Griffin (drums) and Nik Turner (saxophone). On all tracks:Dave Brock(vocals, guitars, keyboards, synthesiser), Harvey Bainbridge (bass, keyboards, synthesiser) and Huw Lloyd Langton (lead guitar). First three tracks recorded at Battle Studios 1980, 4 & 5 at Lewisham Odeon 1980 and 6-10 at Bristol, Colston Hall 1982. Other than the sound quality on 6-10 this is a cool release and worth having. The drums come across a little week in the mix not bad otherwise.
