Brilliant, essential Hawkwind

"This set couples the 1983 album "Zones" with the 1984 live set "This Is Hawkwind, Do Not Panic". Both are great albums, and both are essential for Hawkwind fans as they showcase a generally overlooked period which was fantastic. "Zones" mixes new material with live classics, a pattern that continues today. And it's nice that the new material is what make the disc so spellbinding. 'Running Through The Back Brain' is an unheralded Hawkwind classic. But everything falls into place on "Zones" making it one of the band's more interesting albums. "Do Not Panic" is prime live Hawkwind, with great sound and performances to match. Taken from their Stonehenge performances of '81/'82, this is a positively scorching trip. There are many Hawkwind live recordings and this is one of the very best. All in all, this is a great buy; two Hawkwind classics for about 15 dollars! I have this version, not the individual cd's, and they are gold discs. I assume all are, but I'm not sure. At any rate, "The Stonehenge Collection" is marvelous!! Fantastic music from the great Hawkwind. All fans need this material in their collection."
