"On this recording Hapshash have grown-up since their first self-titled recording which was more of just an extended jam with friends. It was also very raw sounding. This time they incorporate different styles (namely a little folk) and show more technical growth as musicians. There are times when the singers voice gets fairly dramatic, which some my find distracting. Over all it's a good recording but it probably won't blow you away if your looking for that elusive psychedelic CD to end all psychedelic CDs."
Western Flier

"I generally don't like overly folk-inspired music, but the French-Cajon influence of Western Flier from Hapshash & The Coloured Coat really is a great folksy-psychedelic album. Maybe just Very Fine. I recommend it, the song "Colinda" is perpetually stuck in my head."
