Number 1 in Deutschland

"The day has finally come...the new Hanzel und Gretyl album has finally been dropped and unleashed on to the public. 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is a 41 minute blistering, aural assault on the ears, and that is a good thing for this Hanzel und Gretyl fan. 2012 is by far HuG's most aggressive album to date with Loopy's loud, abrasive guitar riffs, Jon Osterman's thunderous drums, and of course Vas Kallas' distinctive coarse, unpolished vocals. Last year I got a sample of what was to come on the band's single OKTOTENFEST with the abrasive, hardcore yet melodic "Fukken Uber Death Party". If OKTOTENFEST was an appetizer to what was to expect from HuG, then 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is the main course. I have been listening to the album for over a week now (I pre-ordered the album via another site) and have been loving the music. 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is classic industrial metal from HuG. Loopy and Vas really knows how to create music that is both aggressive and melodic. What I love about HuG the most is that the band never takes itself so seriously hence the over the top lyrics. The aggressive guitar riffs and Vas Kallas' sinister growling will make the listener forget about the silliness of the lyrics which most of them are in German. For people not familiar with HuG, this music isn't for the faint of heart. Other than wanting more songs, 2012: ZWANZIG ZWOLF is a smashing success. I love every song on the album. The songs are a lot of fun to headbang to at top volume. HuG does it again and gives me another reason to crank up my stereo."

Loud Noisy Dumb Fun

"I bought this mainly because H und G make great music for working out at the gym. It really pumps you up. Sure the lyrics are dumb and the artwork on the cd booklet dumber but the music is a lot of fun. I like it better than "Sheissmessiah" but not as much as "Uber Alles" if that tells you anything. There is no new ground broken by the band but if you already like their music then this one probably will not disappoint."
