These early-1950s radio transcriptions, recorded in Thompson's cutting-edge home studio in Oklahoma City, boast impeccable sound quality and offer a treasure of rarities from the Thompson songbook. Thompson straddles the line between Western swing and honky-tonk, and all of these cuts, even his potentially silly novelties, are disarmingly endearing, unpretentious, and danceable.
