Synopsis

Album Description
Hank Snow pioneered the country concept LP as far back as the early 1950s. In 1967, he released 'Christmas With Hank Snow' and the following year he released 'Tales Of The Yukon' based on the popular poems of Robert Service that he had learned as a child in Canada. Who better than Canada's biggest-ever country star to set Robert Service's poems about the Yukon to music?

"What can I say, I have been waiting over 40 years to get a good copy of this CD and I have it. It sounds wonderful...Hank Snow does Robert Service fantastic and 40+ years later it still is wonderful to listem too. Packaging for this is 5 star all the way with history, lyrics and photos as I would expect from the Bear Family. It does make you want more when he finishes. I highly recommend this to everyone. Anyone can listen to this."

"Robert Service could describe in verse the lure of the North so elequently as to entice almost anyone to endure the trials of this most awesome land. Couple that with Hank Snow's deep and vibrant voice quality and the result is one of the best renditions of Service recitals.Tales of the Yukon"
